February 26, 2005, JACKSON, MS- Metro Communications, Inc. was founded in 1980 in Lafayette, LA, as a Muzak Affiliate by its President and CEO Joseph W. Swain, Jr. and purchased the Muzak assets from Acadian Audio.

In 1984 Metro Communications purchased the assets of Business Music Company (Muzak local affiliate) and opened its then branch office in Jackson, MS.

Muzak is the leading audio imaging company in the world.
